If your main reason for your visit is to update your eyeglasses or contact lenses prescription and you are not having any other problems with your eyes, then the eye exam is considered a "routine" eye exam and is covered under your vision plan and not your medical insurance. Most vision plans do not cover office visits where medical issues are addressed.

Medical?

If you are have a medical issue with your eyes such as allergies, dry eyes, floaters, glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, macular degeneration, trauma, iritis, etc., your examination will be billed to your medical insurance and not your vision plan. You can still use your vision plan eyeglasses and

-Medicare
-United Health Care Medical
-Humana Military Tricare (referral required from primary care physician prior to visit)

 

Don't see your insurance on our list of insurances we are providers for?

We can provide you with an attending physicians statement so you can bill your insurance, and still get reimbursed for your exam.
